Made in Durham · A Little Brother Block Party was a music festival celebration for the 20th anniversary of Little Brother’s 2003 classic debut album, The Listening. I was invited to photograph the event featuring performances from DJ Wally Sparks, The Cool Kids, and Big K.R.I.T. as well as Joe Scudda and Darien Brockington taking the stage alongside Little Brother.
The duo put out an EP and even launched a beer to drum up excitement…and it worked.
Trust me, the Blog Era fan in me was going crazy the entire time. (And speaking of…there’s never a wrong time to revisit The Minstrel Show — another undeniable classic.)
